how to find devices with hardware id??

hey all,

I have a laptop that I have no drivers for after replacing the hdd and reinstalling vista as the hdd went nipples up.

PC world want to sell me a recovery disc @ £35 to get the drivers I need. (not happening!)

How can I work out the deceived manufacture and model by using the hardware id listed in device manager???

example;

pci/ven_8086&dev_2a02&sunsys_903a1019&rev_03

to find that, i just removed the text after the & (and including the &), then googled
