how to find out if your card has warranty?

Hi there,

Situation is as follows. Purchased a B-grade XFX 7800GS from OCUK about a year ago with a week's warranty or whatever OCUK offer.

It is now acting up and I've isolated the graphics card as the problem. Is it possible that I'll still be able to RMA it to XFX or will they have some sort of record of the card being sold without warranty?

contact XFX and ask them to check via the serial number, but good luck at actually contacting them.

iv got a XFX 7800gtx 256mb got it the 1st week they was out, years ago cant rermember infact it was soo long ago now.

my warrenty ran out about 1 and a few months ago i think and about 2 months ago a DVI output stopped working, i sent it back and they fixed it and i was using dual monitors again within 3 days, i was satisifed a lot.

just ring xfx up or somthing, you dont know unless you ask

i was amazed at there customer service even tho i had no warrenty

Same boat myself, bought a system from that auction site it came with an xfx 6800 gs xxx edition, nice little card until 1 week later it simply ceased working. I decided to go for it and after contacting xfx have had support tickets along the lines of "make sure the power cable is plugged into the card"

now forgive my dimness but surely the "chap" at xfx didn't think the card hard run for a week without the cable veing attached, or maybe it was those infernal shuttle pixies playing their foolish games again.

anywho I'm getting there just try to keep your cool and don't take offence if they ask questions you wouldn't ask your 6 year old son. fingers crossed we'll both get a result.

( I've mentioned how cool they are for having a pop at evga on their latest board boxes, hey might up me to a 7600GT )
