How to find out my girlfriends ring finger size...

When doing 'the deed' get her to poke her finger somewhere and remember how it feels, then later get different diameter rods/sticks and poke away until you've got the same amount of stretch. :D
 
chances are the shop wont have the ring you want in her size anyway, and it takes a couple of weeks to get the correct size in, its normal for people to buy the wrong size for the purpose of proposing, but unless shes a big girl, if you can get it on your little finger and its a bit loose its usually near enough, unless youre a skinny office worker with hands that havent done any manual work too i guess
 
Having had a similar problem not too long back (not a proposal thank god), I found that the staff in one of my local jewellers have an almost uncanny ability to guess ring size. The trick is to talk to the member of staff beforehand, then bring your missus in to look at this watch your thinking of getting and the jobs a good un. :D

Propose, give her Haribo ring and say your going to go shopping for the real thing together.

Oh, and before you propose, have you confirmed "marriage initiation"?

When holding hands you could compare against your fingers... Not exact but if you know which of your fingers is a similar/same size you could then try and get one for that finger?

When it comes to asking her parents, english isn't their first language and her mum doesn't like me since I kicked her out of our house last year. Long story, basically she was taking the pee out of us, living with us for free, treating us like crap, so she had to go! On a sidenote, her Dad really respects me for this, i'm the only guy who has ever stood up to her mum :D

I think i'll just try and get an idea of how much smaller her ring finger is than her middle finger and guess a size. As most folks have said, shops will do a resize if it's wrong. I'll just have to tell her if the size is wrong, she can't wear the ring until we get home, i'm proposing when we're in Fiji.

@ gord...are you serious...do you have some unearthly ring finger size guessing supernatural ability :D
