How to force msn live messenger to go to your inbox using another browser

I can't seem to find a property to change to allow the use of another browser to launch into your hotmail inbox other than IE (which I don't want)

Can it be done?

i know that with the new beta of windows Live it loads up hotmail using what ever your default browser (or at least it did when i had it installed), but i dont know if theres a way of changing it in older versions of live messenger
