How to format FAT32?

As title, got an external image tank harddrive and I HAVE to format it FAT32 so the onboard software will read it, however under XP i select format (in admins tools etc) and also tried under my computer, it only lets me format NTFS, any ideas how I can FAT32 it ?

The way (as far as i know) you can format a disk back to FAT32 from NTFS is to boot your computer using the XP CD.

When in the setup screen you should have the option of formatting the drive using FAT32 or NTFS.

Windows will only let you format a partition less that 32Gb as FAT32 despite it being able to support 2Tb.

You'll need to use a third party tool (Partition Magic demo etc) or a Linux/Mac machine.

Cheers just tried puttin it in my laptop, also says NTFS only :confused:
