How to get Gmail

i want to sign up for gmail but can't seem to as the only way i can find to is by using my mobile and there is no area code for UK??? is there any other way i can get gmail?

Edit ill just look at trust and do everyone who wants one.

Why is gmail still invite only? Surely everyone must have at least one by now! Is it still beta or something?

I've got invited if anyone wants one. Only bad thing though is that the address will be '@googlemail.com' and not '@gmail.com'.
