Well, I have a really clever idea that ive been coming up with over the last few weeks. Im not gonna say what it is but its a guaranteed winner! How do i go about selling it or whatever.. any websites? lol, sounds stupid I know but seriously, this is a quality idea!

would be even better if it got the bread out of the bread bin / freezer itself. :D

Oh yea and the VERY first thing you need to do is Patent it.

Then patent it.

You do realise that once you apply for a patent the item is then in the public domain, and until the patent is fully legislated etc. people can copy your idea.

Get to a solicitors and speak with them, they'll know the best things to do.

Also write/draw it on paper, seal it in an envelope and get a bank to put it in a safety deposit box, with a date and receipt. This means if you ever need to defend it in court all you have to do is call up the bank and get them to supply as evidence it was copywrited before the opposition (if indeed it was).

then why hasn't it been done yet? although the simplest ideas can sometimes be the best yuou do have to think with the billions of people out there, why isn't the product out if of course it isn't

The thing is, if everyone thought like that, then nothing would ever get invented :)

I know where you are coming from and it's one reason why I've never really put much thought into coming up with physical innovations. But there are infinite possibilities for inventions and watching Dragon's Den something I think "Crikey, that's really smart". One guy I remember made this device to water your plants when you were on holiday, it was cheap, came in different sizes, reliable etc and was all round a brilliant concept I thought. He blew it on the show in the end due to trying to deceive them about what he was offering (not including North American market, something like that) but I was in awe of what he'd achieved.

My mate at work invented the "idea" of the Ipod when we were teenagers.. :o
Always a sore point when you mention it. :D

Another way to do it is post it to yourself via royal mail special delivery.
