How to getthe best out of Octopus Flux

One question about Eon, setting up the export and they mention a lot that they pay that by cheque, is that actually correct? Or is that for people who aren't Eon import customers, and if I've got an import tariff as well then they'll just credit my account? Seems a bit backwards if it is a cheque these day, and I thought most companies were trying to get away from them.
Its different to Octopus in they are two separate accounts, they don't credit it to your import account they pay separately. Think you can add your bank details once you have your account.

Any thoughts on the new Octopus Intelligent Go Fixed tariff, which has a £25 early termination fee?

It depends, IOG tends to be price cap +1-1.5p for the day rate.

If you think the price cap will drop a bit before winter, stay on variable, if you don’t, go fixed.

Given they are offering these below price cap fixes and citing drops in wholesale costs - we could see a drop in the price cap over the next 6 months.

If there is an American recession, we may well see lower energy prices.

Given you don’t use much if any day rate, I can’t see this making a material difference to you. If anywhere you’d probably be better off on Eon Next Drive which has a cheaper off peak rate and higher export.

Edit: P.S. wrong thread ;)
