My mum decided in her best wisdom  to look after two dogs short term from a pensioner that went in for a hospital op. However the pensioner passed away in hospital and my mum is struggling to look after the dogs. She already had her own dog but there is not enough space to look after these new animals for a length of time. She has also had complaints regarding whining (council). They need to go , i've complained a number of times because of the smell in the garden and the fact that she has kids..

Problem is Nobody will take them , we have contacted Dogs Trust and they are full. You see stories of people dumping dogs and i can see why , why is it when you dump dogs they get a shelter and then possibly a new home but when you need a shelter through legal means nobody wants to know

Things are getting desperate and they gotta go , they are old bull staffs 12/13 and are no harm to anyone as they were looked after by elders.

what would happen to the dogs if they were still in the possession of the pensioner when they passed away? How are the council moaning if she cant get rid of dogs that are not even hers! surely the council would offer to rehome them

The council would most likely have them put down. They're not under any obligation to go to great lengths finding them a new home.

I saw a video one that did a good job, just find a young eastern European girl and ask if she wants to take them for a walk down to the river for you?

**this is obviously not the answer

Posters in the town centre with handy recipe suggestions

They are 12/13 year old, no use for cooking. The meat will be as tough as old boots! ;)

Like others said they will probably be took to the kennels then put down if nobody takes them and being the age they are this is more than likely going to happen!

Just take them to the council depot and tell them you have found 2 strays.
Tie them to the railings outside the dogs home / old folks home / cat home with a sign hanging around their necks.

I am a dog lover but in reality, no one is going to want 12/13 year old staff's; they will cost a fortune in vets bills.

As much as I hate to say it ..... a last trip to the vet is probably the best answer.

Best of luck.
