How to handle 13 case fans!

Just bought a new case for my home server (Lian Li D8000). I bought it second hand and it has come preloaded with 13 fans!

6 over the hard drives
4 at the back of the case
2 at the top of the case
1 facing the motherboard

It's probably hugely overkill but I'd like to know the best way to control them.

I had a three fan controller in my last case. Do I just need to get a controller which can handle more? Ideally I'd like to be able to control the 6 fans that run over the hard drives seperately from everything else.

Blimey, when it spools up do small objects like coins and keys get sucked in the front?

6 Fans for HDD bay seems massive overkill is it push pull or something?
Take all the hdd's out, replace with ssd's velcro'ed out the way, remove 6 fans sorted!

But seriously I hope you find a quiet solution!
 
I've not actually turned it on yet so not sure how much noise it will produce. The server lives in the cupboard under the stairs though so noise isn't a problem.

I can't replace the HDDs with SSD as that would cost me a fortune! I have 30tb of storage in there at the moment. I'd like to keep the drives as cool as possible - I run UnRaid which does a monthly parity check at which point all the drives are up and running at the same time, so can get quite warm.

Will look in to Splitty9s.
 
It depends on your budget but I have 13 fans in my PC (push/pull on 3 rads explains why so many) connected to an Aquaero 6. They are connected in 4 groups and each group can be controlled separately if needed.
 
I would buy 4x three way splitters and just set the fan headers to silent in the bios if they're a bit too loud on normal speeds. If your Mobo doesn't have 4 fan headers then maybe just grab a internal fan controller, that's what I use to power 22 fans.
 
Get some Aquaero Splittys and it should be pretty simply, alternatively have a look at JR23's build log where he has wired up the fans to 4 way connectors to create a single plug for the board.

That or just buy some premade.
 
I run 14 case fans inside my Phanteks Ethoo Primo, I have some connected to the motherboard, some connected to the fan controller on the back and some connected to a fan controller at the front. I think I did use a few splitters to connect them to the motherboard though too, never had a problem with them, although the 14 Corsair ML 140 LED Red Premium cost me a few quid, worth every penny though.
