How to increase performance of my system (A64, NF4 etc)

Basically, I've got:-

1. AMD 64 running at 2.5Ghz (which is probably about 3200+?)
2. 1GB duel channel (2x512)
3. NF4 S939 mobo
4. GF 7950GT

I don't want to do a complete system upgrade as yet, but what would give me most performance gains? extra ram? CPU?

2gb ram and dual core cpu

should be able to do it for less than 100 quid

Up the FSB although your memory might restrict this. In which case, you may need to change the FSB:memory divider ratio. See if you can grab some cheap second hand 2Gb of PC-4000
