How to install apps to microSD on Swees X506 (need to root?)

Hi all,

As above, bought the above phone as a temporary while my S6 Edge is in for repair.

It only has a couple of GB space, and despite setting default install location to SD it doesn't seem to install anything on the SD.

There is an option for some apps to 'move to phone storage'... which then changes to 'move to internal storage' when done... But obviously this seems to be switching between two partitions on the phone, and doesn't actually seem to take up any space on the microSD at all.

Is there any chance rooting will help this situation at all? Or how can I properly move things to the microSD?

Currently installing large apps fails as there isn't enough space (it seems to temporarily need the space on the partition that currently only has about 80mb free)

You have to install on the phone then move them?

Go into setting/apps/whateverapp move to SD

But if you don't have space in the first place you can't install it first
