well i am building a new computer on friday, wont be using the one i have now at all so it can be formated.

how do i make my old windows 7 that im using now as the free upgrade to windows 10 install as windows 10 without installing windows 7 first? that sounds like its going to be hard to understand lol.

my new computer will be in a evolv itx so it has no DVD/CD drive and i want to go straight to windows 10 instead of installing windows 7 and then upgrading it again. is this possible?

will probably need to be on a USB stick i can guess but how to get it on that and useable to install windows.

Download the ISO from Microsoft website, by going to the upgrade fresh option. Put it on a USB stick, boot from it and there you have it. I'm sure the windows 10 download, downloads the software to make the USB bootable.

do i need the computer to have windows 7 on it already or can i just use the USB straight away?

i am looking at how to do it now, but it all suggests i need the windows 7 software already on the computer.

I'm sure you can install Win10 Direct (I just have) Although, I have also gone through the 'upgrade' too before I re formatted it...
