How to made a dual boot?

Ok i have 1 500GB Hard Drive with 2 partitions. 1 50GB partition which i use for windows and prog's. Then the second partition of about 450 odd GB for documents.


I have a new 500GB hard drive. Can i do the same to that? If i leave 50GB a side, when i get vista can i install it on that partition? And will i just get the option of which os to boot into at the boot screen?

I shouldnt have any problems running xp on one hard drive and vista on another as a dual boot should i?

If you have two hard drives with the a different operating system on each then you will be able to select which hard drive to boot from in the bios. This works for me and my two versions of XP. There may be an easier way though.
