only got a 190 litre tank, would love one to house some proper fish :(

If you dont have the money, just wait till some more come along. He cant be that much of a good mate if he wont take an IOU.
Save the money and wait for some more to come up for sale, trust me, I know, I used to own a pair. They are fairly easy to come by, contrary to popular belief.
 
This is the first time in my life I've heard of someone asking a technology forum for urgent ideas on how to raise £100 for some fish.
