How to make a bike wheel quick release

Does anyone know what I would need to make the front week on my bike (push) quick release?

I'd ask why you want to do it?

So I can easily take the front wheel off and fit it in the back of my car

Why would buying a new wheel and replacing the spindle be cheaper than just replacing the spindle in the existing wheel?
