I have recently upgraded my memory from 2GB of PC5400 RAM to 3GB (later 4GB) to PC6400 RAM and the latter modules require 2.1V to run properly. They're running fine at 1.8V which appears to be the motherboard default, but for some reason whenever I adjust the settings, everytime I reboot windows it sets itself back to the lower voltage.

Why won't they stay? And how can I get them to stay?

Is the bios retaining any other changes your make? Are you sure the memory is not set to auto?

Also, what motherboard is it?

Is it retaining any other changes you make (e.g. switch the boot order temporarily and try restarting the PC).

Actually scrap that - I've worked out why it hasn't worked, my motherboard only goes up to 1.95V. I've had no problems so far with it, I think I just need a better motherboard (Asus M2N-E).
