how to make windows log me in

when i first got computer it logged in by itself to dektop page ? now it stops at the user page where i have to click on the profile how can i make it so it just goes straight on ?

What operating system are you using? Windows XP/Vista/7 or 8?

open cmd, type in control userpasswords2 and uncheck the box.

windows 7 and i tried that and its said its not recognized ?

Do it using the registry. Search for Winlogon and change the autoadmin login key to 1 and username and password to your required details.

E: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wind ows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

That's the location you need.

Start > [searchbox] > netplwiz

Same application. userpasswords2 doesn't show up on my system either (can launch from cmd line).

You on windows8 I have not tried it on there but it has been a part of windows since windows95! Just make sure your typing "control userpasswords2" without the quotes.
