How to mount temperature sensors

I've got myself one of those lovely T-Balancer fan controllers but I'm having trouble sticking the damn temp sensors to anything without them falling off within 5 minutes. You get some sticky material in the box (I assume this is a large thermal pad you can cut up) but it's rubbish!

Any suggestions how to stick the sensors to things like my CPU and area of my case where I want to monitor temperatures?

I got these translucent yellow bits of tape with my coolermaster cooldrive 6 for the temp sensors. Tried good 'ole selotape?

Problem is these digital sensors are quite big and I was really hoping to find something sticky enough to mount the actual sensor chip right where I wanted it - for the CPU at least - and I don't think tape would fit the bill. Good idea though!

I remember seeing something on here about mixing up two variants from the Arctic Silver range to make a thermal fixant for analogue sensors but couldn't find it using the 'Search' button. Now that would be perfect, but I don't want to try conconting something without knowing what it will do and either making it too permanent (a-la the Thermal Epoxy) or too soft (a-la AS5).

Anyone know the materials I'd need and what the mixture would be?

A combo of the thermal epoxy and AS5 I believe, a 40 (epoxy)/60 mix should suffice. Although thats about £15. I know some people have used a very small amount of super glue mixed with AS5 for similar results :)

The sticky bits provided work really well BUT the surface must be very clean for them to adhere properly.
I cleaned surfaces very well using cotton buds with isopropyl alcohol, then dried with lint free cotton cloth. Once stuck it didnt come off unless you gave it a good pull.
