Yeah they don't make it easy, and I expect gifs are reformatted to webp, but for simple images press the image, top right burger button, share links, copy away.

Yeah I was playing with that, can’t seem to get the share links screen to come up (iOS safari / desktop site incompatibility maybe - will have a play again when on a more stable signal). Cheers for the steer!
