Clearly xmas is a time of celebration and over indulgence, so how do you prepare for a big drinking session?

I'm not a big drinker, but our group is starting at 2pm tomorrow and god knows where it will lead.

Personally I plan to have a lay in, big fried breakfast and plenty of water. I guess the key is to eat something light during the day and drink water (when no one is looking :p ).

Anything else, besides man up?

eat loads before you go out, drink lots of water, and maybe a glass of milks.

When you get home from the night out, drink more water. when you wake up, drink more water

simples

Sleep well night before
Don't drink night before
Eat well that day but not loads you'll just feel bloated and sleepy
Realx and don't feel like it's some drinking competition, as above try bottled beers rather than pints and pints or start on tops or shandies
Have a pint of water every now and again
If your going to do spirits make sure it's mixed with fruit juice

The seasoned alcoholic will tell you that drinking water throughout a massive binging session will allow you to drink for longer and really push your liver's limits. A good dose of food before imbibing will let you punish your body in ways which, in years to come, you'll look back on with fondness.

Pro-tip : don't be 'that guy'. You know, the one who gets arrested or tries to shag his boss' wife or turns super aggro over nothing. Let someone else be 'that guy' :)

Just dont think about it, just go there get hammered and go home. If your thinking about it too much your not going to enjoy it.

Every man deserves to cut loose once in a while, get plastered and enjoy yourself :)

Fry up before is good, eat lots of bread, because bread lines the stomach, drinking milk BEFORE drinking is excellent as well, but NOT afterwards unless you like puking. Drink loads of water before you go, then alternate (if you can get away with it) or always have one alcoholic drink and one soft drink/glass of water. And try not to mix your drinks!!
