So the weekend just gone we did 3 laps of tough mudder while carrying a melon, initially started off as a bit of joke, but now Wilson (name of the melon) has his own 3x headband and we are all very attach to it now, plus it would be good get him up to 10x headband. Any idea what can we do preserve it? is currently in my friend's freezer....

Mrs Cheesyboy did the tough mudder yesterday. Sounded a bit of a laugh - might try it next year.

Get a huge decorative bowl/jar, the sort people put twigs and other **** in for a room feature, add melon, then cover with cooking oil. Or maybe a white vinegar.

Then would need to fashion a cover/lid.

Could try drying the crap out of it so you end up with a large shrivelled raisin.

Freezing might have damaged it though, I'm aware that having a melon in the bottom of my fridge where ice can form will freeze and make the skin become squishy when defrosted, possibly because ice crystals rupture the cells.

Don't give it to these guys.

Cut hole, bend a coat-hanger into a thin diamond shape and attach one end to a drill. Then insert into the melon slowly, allowing it to bend into the correct shape of the melon. Slowly use the drill to mash up the insides while not splitting the shell. Drain it, then use expanding foam.

:D

That'll work well!

Make a hole about 2inch in circumference and pleasure yourself until insides are mushed.

Empty contents, you will have a shell of a Winston but you will be at one. ;)
