Ditto - I've been coming in after going out around 5-6am each night. I just can't sleep at all atm

Even if that is true a router is a device which calculates routes - in this country we pronounce route 'root' so router is 'rooter'.

Who created the box has no bearing - they used a general word to describe it, a word we pronounce differently.
