I hate being scrawny, I eat an above average amount of food (dunno if this helps) but my arms are thin and I am generally skinny. Any steps to take towards improving this?

Better suited for the sports forum really.

I know nothing, but the way I understand it is that you should work out how much calories you need to eat each day to stay at your current weight, and then increase it.

creatine eat buckets of the stuff and keep lifting ;)

pretty soon you'll be a man mountain.

(edit its GD - hence my answer :) )

Increase your calories and get a good workout routine going, eat proper food. Head over to the sports section you can get some good advice over there!

Yeah, Whey protein is the key to HUGENESS!

"whey protein powder is commonly used by bodybuilders and other athletes to accelerate muscle development"

Go to the gym and get a regular work out and it will help develope your muscles, surely developing muscles is better than fat.

What that quote fails to mention is its absolutly useless if you just slap it on top of a crap diet, its not a miricale powder. If you write everything down that you eat when you eat it you will probably find you dont take in as many cals as you think.

You can't just live off whey protein in the hope that it will increase your weight. Even if he consumed a great deal of it, I doubt it'd do much without the correct diet supporting it.

Maybe I'm talking rubbish though.

Weight gain supplments, you can put on weight pretty fast...will cost about £30 a month.

But when you stop taking them it will drop back off again if you dont eat well and do some exercise.

Thats true, I failed to mention that. I was just suggesting things that may help

I've always been really skinny (6'2" and ~9.5st) despite eating loads. But since I turned 28 about 18 months ago I've piled on a good 2 stone despite not changing anything in my diet. I had to change my wardrobe as I've gone from a 30" waist to a 34" one.

You've probably just got a sky-high metabilism like I had. It'll slow down later in your life.

Drink lots of Cider and eat chips!!!!

Or if you want 'good' weight, do 100 pressups and situps every evening (cheaper than the gym), and walk to work.
