how to raid-0 my hdd's

Hi i have 2xwd 500gb hdd's that i want to raid and am after an idiots guide to doing it i have read the motherboard manual and think i can get relitivly far on my own but it asks for a stripe size value and i have no idea how big or small it needs to be any help would be appreciated.

128K on the stripe size seems to be the most popular as it generally provides the best performance :)
 
Depends on use. Databases like stripe size, working with many very large file large ones are better. 64k or 128k seem to be the most often recommended for desktops.

Bear in mind that with raid 0, back ups are an even better idea than normal.
