I rarely receive MMS messages but when I do, on every android phone I've owned I get some bs about visiting a url and entering my phone number and password, what is this 1920?! What do I have to do just to receive an MMS?

What you do is reply to the message saying "email me the photo, it's not ****ing 2002"

Edit: or I suppose you could set the MMS bits in the APN

Google MMS settings for your network and pop them in your phone, should work.

Or get something like WhatsApp, free MMS! I have over 2000 pics in my whatsapp folder, imagine the cost of that at 20p each? :p

each network will have an option somewhere in their website to send MMS settings to your phone.

Ok, looked at the network settings page for t-mobile and they are actually wrong on the website, the phone had the correct settings, but authentication type was not specified, when I set that to PAP, it connected and said message expired so has been deleted. So hopefully that has fixed the problem.

I appreciate the sentiment, but surely facebook would be more appropriate and modern than email? :p

Well yes, but some people have an irrational hatred of Facebook, and everyone with a smartphone has an email address :D
