Hi,

Ive got the Antec solo case which has a pin, space, and then a pin for the power led which effectively means its 3 pins.

The EVGA 680i motherboard only has 2 pins for the power led so i guess i need to remove the spacer pin from the power led wire.

Whats the easiest way of doing this?

Thanks!

You have a 3 pin header from the case?......

You can lift the small bit of plastic on the header to allow removal of the wire and goldern bracket thing from the header, then slot it next to the other (lifting plastic thingy to allow insertion), then use something like a Stanley Knife to chop the end of the header off (now empty).

A needle or small screwdriver (watch makers kinda small) should be fine for lifting the plastic bit that holds the wire and bracket thing that is attached to the wire on the header.

The circled area is like a little flap that holds the wire in place.

Picture is USB header, but the headers are all same just different sized blocks.

i think he means the plastic casing og the power led lead is 3wide and the motherboard headers is only 2 wide

just snip it in half down the middle one should work fine

Yes i know, and i'm explaining how to move the wire from one place in the header to another, then snip off the end, you can do it gradually and less its less like to go wrong, you could proberly get away with using sharp scissors if you move the wire in the header block.
