How to remove carrier splash screen/animation from HTC One?

Hi I just received an unlocked HTC One. It still has a Vodafone splash animation when I turn it on/off. How do I remove this?

Flash it with an unbranded firmware.

The default location for boot up animations is /system/media/bootanimation.zip

you can replace that with whatever boot animation you fancy, loads of websites have boot animations you can download with the right resolution.

Will need root access though.

Go to YouTube and type root HTC one as well as reading the aforementioned XDA developers.

you can flash the zips in something like cwm/twrp if you're unlocked, easiest way tbh
