Before anyone starts this is pc related, well the xbox is a pc on the inside..
Have an Xbox console and want to put a better heatsink on the CPU so I could get better temps, I can easily replace the GPU heatsink with a Zalman Northbridge cooler and glue it on with thermal epoxy as the gpu has a heatspreader, on the otherhand the cpu is just the die with no heatspreader, best I can do is replace thermal paste with arctic silver, but how would you mount a heatsink onto a cpu with no heatspreader and non standard mounting holes/retention bracket bare in mind the xbox cpu is a pentium 3 700mhz and runs at 45-50 degrees Idle, 60-70 Degrees load...the stock heatsink is held in by a lever arm...which does not work with other heatsinks
