How to resize XP partition

I want to increase my xp partitions size, however gparted won't let me increase it, it only gives me the option to decrease it. Vista also doesn't seem to want to be able to do it either. Does anyone know of a way to do so?

Also whilst im here, does anyone know how i can remove my xp partitions permissions so i can access C: from my Vista partition.

Does the hard drive that contains the partition you want to resize actually have any free unpartitioned space on it?

Yeah ive got 20gb on xp, 371gb for my media, 31gb for vista, and my drive formatted is 465gb. So i have around 43gb free.

Any decent partition software should be able to use that unpartitioned space and add it to an existing partition. Depends on which software you have access too really.

partition magic 8 etc does it fine, its not so hot with 64bit vista though (personal experience)

Yeah i just used that, its so slow, but hey it does the job
