How to revert my IP back to the original?

So I was trying to watch this American documentary on CBS last night and I couldn't since the website gave me an error saying 'this video is not available to your region'

What this website does is basically checks your IP and see where you're located. So I downloaded a trial version of 'Auto Hide IP', which changed my ip to a Texas one, albeit the internet became very slow, but I still managed to watch what I wanted. So I turn off the software and my PC and go to sleep.
This morning, however, I woke up finding my internet is very slow and still have my IP set to the Texas one! I uninstalled the software, restarted, ran ipconfig /release and /renew even /dnsflush...nothing works!

My set up is a Windows 7 64x connected to a Netgear wireless router. I checked with my other PC and laptop to see if they have the same problem but they're fine.

Please help! :(

Several things to note here, first off you connect through a router, so playing with ipconfig commands wont help at all as your computer will be assigned a private IP by the router, any program that changes that won't make any bit of difference to what country you seem to be from.

I haven't looked into how that specific software works, but most likely it just changes your browser settings to use a proxy server located in the country of your choice, hence the slow web browsing as eveything you do is going through that proxy.

So my advice is to look into the options of whatever browser you are using and check if it is set up to use a proxy, if it is, just turn it off.

yeah i agree with dist, its most likly the software is simply routing you through a proxy server somewhere.

the most likly way would be to edit your internet options and disable the use of the proxy server
