How to Run in Dual Channel?

Hi Guys,

A quick question ive never known the answer to, getting your memory running in dual channel do you insert it in to the same coloured ram slots? aka yellow and yellow on my ds3? Any thing else have to be done?

Yep.

That's pretty much it, an even amount of RAM sticks all in the same colour slots

My works PC has 512 in slot 1, 1gb in slot 2 and 512 in slot 3. Idiots

well it will still work but not in dual channel mode.

That said, some older Pentium PCs require the RAM to be equal in both banks and won't boot otherwise.
