I'm tempted to upgrade to a 77" but I'm not sure how I would shift my current TV.

I have a 65" Samsung S95B which obviously takes up a lot of space so I would need to sell it pretty fast. The problem with this is that due to the size it would likely need to be local, so FB market place etc. But people on these places will only see it as a 65" TV and compare it to the fact they can grab a cheap 65" TV from Tesco for under £400. How do I sell it to get the value it's actually worth and what couriers are happy to accept TVs? I have the original box and packing up in the loft, so securely packaging it would not be a problem. I just don't want to order the new one without knowing of a sure way I can shift this one without having to pretty much give it away.

This, but it's still quite difficult getting a buyer on there for TVs. I've just had a look and there's very little or no replies to a lot of threads.

Someone listed the 55-inch version of the OPs TV for £750 on Saturday and there's no interest yet.

Yeah i don't think anything like this particularly sells quick unless it's priced VERY well really. You've either got to have a hugely in demand model or be lucky to have a buyer locally as shipping costs especially make things quite prohibitive.

Facebook Marketplace? Collection only in large car with fold down back seats or van required stated on ad? Also maybe measure the box and put the dims on there as well?

I don't think TVs hold their values particularly well. Especially if it's over a year old and out of warranty (or if the longer 5 year warranties aren't transferable) then it could be a costly gamble.

Also I would imagine that most people wanting a high-end TV would normally look to buy new.

I stuck my 85" on the MM, eBay and Gumtree. Ended up giving it to mate due to all the imbeciles expecting it for nothing and asking for delivery. You may have better luck :D

This is the issue, I accept I'll probably only be able to just clear about £500 for it, because any more than that and you're taking a risk with something 2nd hand.
I just know trying to sell it locally will be people offering half that and expecting it to fit in their Corsa

I'll probably stick it on avforums and maybe the MM here and just hope

If you're still in Gloucester, it shouldn't be too hard to get £500 for it; quite a few towns and cities nearby where people will be happy to travel to pick it up for that price.
