How to setup speakers and subwoofer correctly

I have a Yam 1030 AV receiver which is great!. I have noticed the auto calibration has set my speakers as large instead of small! and when I change back to small I seem to loose a lot of impact with the sound.

Is it normal to set the frequencies yourself? I am not sure what I should be looking for to be honest.. It has set my sub at 80 or 60hz (cant remember of the top of my head, is that ok?

This might be better in the home cinema section. Better chance of getting replies from the chaps with similar setups who don't frequent sound city that much.

Pretty sure you wanna set sub and speakers to crossover around 80hz unless your speakers can't handle that low very well and set them to small.

I have my fronts and centre at 80hz crossover (dali zensors) and rears set to 100hz as they are smaller.
