How to sort this mess

This is my fokes main socket.

It's seen a few changes over time, iplate, net5, adsl nation filters.

Current the router is upstairs. In an ideal world this needs to be down by the main socket

Problem is mother has 2 items there and won't budge

Light
Phone

I'd like to use have a home plug there so wired can be had if needed. So that's 3 items.

It worth daisy changing a 2nd dual socket at the bottom, problem solved?

I wonder if the single socket is on the ring or a spur? If it is the ring you could get two double sockets put in, or one double so that the homeplug has direct connection to the ring.

If changing the sockets is not possible then you can just use a 4 socket extension with the short lead, not ideal but more often than not ok for homeplug use.

I have to say i would use a 4 socket extension with the short lead as above really, i had to do the same in my house, my pc is on the third floor and the router is next to the BT socket downstairs, i have just put a small extenstion down on the floor, plugged the home plug in downstairs and then plugged the other home plug in on the top level and off you go..
