Hey All,

I'm gonna be moving my Xbox 360 Into my room soon and have it plugged into my PC Screen to play games.

However i only one ethernet cable ran into this room.

And my motherboard only has one Ethernet Port on it so i've got a problem of how my xbox will get a connection.

I don't wanna run another cable in here as is not really ideal cos the cable runs through the hall way and our little Staff puppy likes chewings things so dnt want that to happen.

Is there some sort of switch i can get or a splitter so i can just plug the already exisiting cable into and split it into two so one for my Xbox and one for my PC.

The existing ethernet cable is plugged into my router with another cable plugged in for another computer in the flat.

Any ideas ?

James

Sweet, When you say switch i won't have to do nothing manually will i ?

would i be able to download stuff on my PC whilst playing on the xbox ?

or would i only be able to use one port at a time ?

You shouldn't have to setup anything manually, most switches have auto sensing ports which can work out what is connected to them and at what speed, then it sets itself up accordingly.

You can also use the PC and Xbox online at the same time too.
