How to stop smelling horrible after exercise?

As others have said, it's not the sweat that smells it's the bacteria that thrive on it. But they generally only thrive in protected crevasses like armpits, and not on exposed skin where they regularly get rubbed off. Deodourising is literally trying to hide a bad smell with a better one. Again, as others have said, anti-persoirant will actually stop the sweat in the first place, and...

No, it's not. You're not blocking every pore. Just those pores in your armpits where bacteria are more likely to do well.

The other thing to consider is that man-made fibres are excellent for sweat-wicking but do seem to get foul-smelling quickly. Merino wool is much less smelly. There are also some treatments for sports fabrics and travel clothing which they claim makes clothes less smelly.

If you can't shower immediately after exercise, a pack of wet wipes to get the worst off the pits can work quite well.

Hope that helps.

My pits are fine after a workout, it's my smelly arse crack that smells a good'un :D I'm not rubbing anti-p on that though!

If I cannot shower straight after exercising, I just dont exercise in the first place.

People stink when they exercise, wouldn't worry about it.

no they don't.

smell comes from bacteria. bacteria grows in hot humid conditions.

so basically. i can exercise and still smell fine. because it's going to take time for the bacteria to get to a level that it becomes noticeable.

so for him to be smelling during exercise. he must have stank before but it's kicked it into overdrive as now the bacteria has the perfect conditions.

he needs to shower daily and use deodarant. i used to do 3-4 hour training sessions. after them i smelt fine. however i took a shower because if i didn't i know i would start to smell given time.

Scrub your body with a loofah every day, paying particular attention to your pits and bits.
Use a roll on instead of spray deodorant.
Minimize eating foods like garlic and onion.
Do your Triple S in the correct order.

I put a change of clothes in my backpack as I walk to work. It's about 3 miles and there's a steep hill in the middle with this path full of overgrowth all jungle like so with that and these heatwaves, by the time I get there I often I have puddle on my back :D

Fortunately there's a disabled toilet I can use as soon as I walk in so I just wash up with some shower gel and get changed in there. Does the job but it's still a right faff I tell you. One look forward to the Winter. When it's sub-zero temperatures I don't have to carry nothing so I can just chill with a coffee on the way :)
