Just a heads up, channel 5 have got a new 6 part series showing how to take 'stunning pictures' presented by the ever lovely suzi perry.
Show starts this tuesday at 7.30 and this episode concentrates on turning snapshots of friends and family into stunning portraits.
So set your pvr's!
 
Hmmm hope she shows more prowess with a camera in this than she does on the gadget show... Thanks for the heads up, series link set :)
 
found that channel 5 isn't one of the channels thats disappeared so set my recorder for that as I'll be out at my photographic society's meeting that night :)

I'd have preferred it if the new girl from the "Gadget Show" had been presenting ;)

But I'll switch off if they show anyone holding a camera at arm's length to take a photo and not up to their face :p
 
i wonder how much detail there're going to go into in these shows.

I hope it not like bang goes the theory, all seems good and well but at the end of the show your left wishing they had gone further and given more detail about the topics.

I'm willing to bet they mention;

the rule of thirds
the golden hour
light sources to the left or right of subject at about 45 degrees from you and high
a high shutter speed
and don't use the pop up flash on your camera.
 
So then..... Lots of using liveview, doesnt really go into much detail, I hope the rest of the show/programmes dont concentrate on people attempting to take good photos rather than a pro giving us tips. I'll reserve judgement till i've seen more
