how to tell how old a cpu is?

is there any software that can tell you how old a core2duo is.

i was going to look how old it was on the cpu. and then i forgot god damn lol

if any one knows any prog's let me know

AMD chips have the silicon week/year written on the top of the processor, I think Core2Duo are the same but I could be wrong. As far as I'm aware nothing software wise can tell you when it was made.

Your box should say something like L628xxxx on its label.

The '6' is the year, and the '28' is the week.
