my pc keeps BSOD ever now and then, it was a ram problem as i found out after running memtest86.

now i have a new code that i didnt save to post here :D will post the log latter when it happens again, but i think its a hdd problem. what program is best to test hdd's.

Edit: all over clocks have been removed system is running at stock

Check Event Viewer in the System tab around the time of the error.

Typically hard drive errors will have hundreds of lines in Event Viewer

I think i have sorted this problem out, i think... it was down to a bad stick of ram and bad GFX driver. a windows disk scan told me there was bad sectors, however both HDTune and Data Lifeguard tell me the drive is fine.

going to drop an ssd in and use this drive as basic storage DVD's music and so on
