Hi

Just a quick one really.

Just bought an 8 GB USB Flash drive, and it seems to be failing. The files I copied to it are corrupt when I copy them off on the destination machine.

Does anyone know of any software I can use to diagnose this with before I Send it back ?

Thanks

send it back mate

did you buy it from ebay? could be a fake one

i'd only trust something like a corsair drive tbh (insert any other top memory brand name)

I did (get from the bay and sent it back already :D)

It was (apparently) Samsung memory with 1 years manufactures warranty. It was 8 GB, just had a few errors.

Then again, it was only a tenner :p

I got mine from Hong Kong.

I have been promied a full refund, and my return postage costs too. We will see. This one was not branded as being Samsung memory.

I got another from the UK, and fully intend to test it thoroughly before using it, and keeping my eye on it in future. This one is Samsung (so it claims).

I also plan to check out the promise of 1 years manufactures warrenty before keeping it.

I only plan on using it to move recordings from my PVR to my work machine, so it's not critical data. I agree with using top branded kit as Bledd says if it was.
