how to un-register from forum?

can you completely leave a forum? obviously you can just not post, but can you be removed from the membership entirely?

not specifically this forum, and getting a ban would still leave you as a registered member of the forum,
i would like to actually be removed so that the forum would show one less registered member and there wouldn't be a user profile etc

Only way to do it thoguh is to ask an admi non the site you want to leave to do it for you.

i already tried to contact them directly but not had any response at all, I was just interested to see if it was possible or if they would just disable the username and leave it registered
