I've tried, "#:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force" in the cmd prompt, but alas, bootsect.exe is a 64-bit operation.

I've now been told I need to run the XP recovery console and run FixBoot, followed by FixMbr. Fair enough, but i've heard lots of trouble with this procedure and want to make perfectly clear what i need to specfically do.

1. Get in Recovery Console
2. Type FixBoot at prompt
3. Type FixMbr at prompt
4. Reboot
5. Format Vista partition

What my mate did was to do a complete format of his HD Partition it. Install XP. Then Install Vista on the other partition. Job done! Works a treat.
Yeah, that's grand, but I want to uninstall, not install. Already did that part. ;)
