how to upload to a dedicated server

ive had a dedicated server set up, and i use remote desktop control to access it, question is how do i upload files to it. ive tried using smart ftp but it fails everytime. any one got any experience about this
 
You'd have to install and ftp service on your server and forward port 21 for smart ftp to connect. What remote desktop software do you use? With the built in remote desktop software in xp pro you can transfer files over the remote connection
