there's complete voice activation already prebuilt into windows 7 for complete hands free using your computer (all you need to do is configure it from control panal) switch it on an u don't need to use your hands at all after that,

and on the bluetooth matter i'm not 100% that you can use bluetooth to control it but maybe you can use bluetooth as the microphone needed for the hands free (voice activation)

the windows 7 prebuilt in voice activation can do everything from dictating mails to controling your desktop playing windows based games and opening up and using any software on the computer, you can even install using voice activation...(full voice activation means full voice activation, open browser/surf net/open mail.... in short everything you can do with the mouse you can do with voice activation.

I have been playing with it today and ... what can i say, opperating systems have certainly come along way on the tech side, before this tech used to cost in the thousands for ppl with problems such as been by-plegic etc but now it's all in the windows 7 for £50-100....

if your computer is rigged up to all the tech in your house then you could lay in bed with comp turned on and have everything still in control :)

edited after realising.... you mean like bluetooth but not using bluetooth lol.... the answer is all in full version of windows 7 home premium.

Iwas very impressed with it and i reckon you would be too, the voice activation first learns from your speach when configuring and apparently it continuously keeps tweaking itself to your voice learning making one mistake it has made very unlinkely of making it a 2nd time

free calls comp to comp providing both you and the person you are calling are both using skype or if you get a skype subscription then you can use your comp to call ppl world wide very cheap to other phones that aren't using skype.
There's also voip phones you can get so you don't need to be at your computer in order to use your skype account, checkout ebay atm, there's 1 dual phone going for just £0.99 capable of been both a normal phone and a skype phone, but the site you really want for making your comp into a phone is skype, use the link provided and do some reading.

hands free is still possible without windows 7 and just using skype/speakers/microphone (hands free won't have any control on hanging up or calling tho unless you get voice activation from windows 7)

goto http://www.skype.com and research calls from your computer.
if you have never used skype before it is just like msn/yahoo instant messengers except it's actually the better of the 3

before i took it as you wanted to just use your computer hands free, tho if thats still the case then you want to install skype and get windows 7 home premium

hope i've been of some help

My Vista 64 Laptop used to do this with my WinMo Samsung Omnia (Nomnomnia) out of the box!!...

Surprised me the first time it did it!.. I was just browsing when my Nomnia rang and the Laptop automaticaly picked up the call and I was talking to my Dad through my Laptop Mic and Speakers!!... it was cool!!..

But it doesn't do it now with my BlackBerry (at least I've not tried and fettled to make it do it!!)

noooo i want to use my mobile phone but use my pc to speak from like its hands free

stop been a tight ass an spend some cash on the bluetooth hands free ^^

maybe you can try inserting your bluetooth dongle into your comp and using it conjunction with your phone/speakers/mic,

But to do this you may want to visit your phone brand internet site and reading there if it's possible, there's a number of various software programs out on certain phone brand sites i believe, just depends whether or not your brand of phone is that good at updating these sort of things and what they want to allow to use in conjunction with their phones

thats vista.... what OS do you have on the machine wanting to use hands free with, if it's vista or windows 7 then there may be a chance... but i got to ask, is your phone bluetooth capable, and if it is do you have a bluetooth dongle for your pc and have you tried just getting the necessary software from your brand of phone's website or the official bluetooth site?

I don't think i can help you further on this matter as i've given all the advice i can give,

hope i've been of some help
