How to use new rapidshare

I am trying to downlaod something and its says...

RapidPro required!
You need an account to use the fast download option!
Create an account now?


In my account under traffic it says
"You still have 130 399 MB of traffic left"

Traffic is the combined data traffic of all your downloads. Additional traffic can be bought (only RapidPro User)

but it also says RapidPro is inactive!


Is it possible to download something from my traffic or do i need to pay for rapidshare pro? (500 rapids for 6 euros)
 
It sounds as though you have used your rapids to buy traffic but not RapidPro;

Unfortunately Rapidshare is unnecessarily complicated now.

That won't help with downloading from Rapidshare though ;)

I don't really get why people use rapidshare really...

Once thing with Mediafire you have to do is login at least once per month though, I forgot to do this and they wiped all my files. :( Now I remember to login all is good.

Yep, i bought traffic. so i just need to activate rapidpro for 6 euros which will last me ages because the traffic will come off it once activated?

I like searching google for files. Especially since the RIAA are going after trackers. "mediafire ******" in google and hey presto, there's your file. I'd like to see them go after google as a tracker.
 
I just bought 6 months worth of stuff from fileserve... rapidshare was a confusing. I bought what I thought was unlimited downloads for a set time period, yet it was some BS points system....

You get a 150GB allocation of traffic when you buy a RapidPro subscription. The idea being that you only buy additional traffic once you've used up your included allocation. I'm assuming that this isn't mentioned anywhere when you sign up...

It used to be excellent when they had a reward system. The only reason I still have an RS account is because I had accumulated so many reward points and was able to use them to get a 6 month subscription to RapidPro.

Im have no idea its so confusing now.

On the 8th Oct I thought I bought 300gb with unlimited limit. Anyway I still have 220gb left to use but rapidpro has expired.
 
Well, i just extended it for 2 months with 1000 rapids (costing 10euros)

I mainly use RS because livesetsonline forum host mostly RS files

Edit - I remmeber now, they used to have it so you could convert your traffic to extend another month. They must have changed this so you can only extend with rapids now, probably because so many people had loads of traffic and were not spending money on extending (like me)
