how to use prime95 correctley?

Hi, im looking to use prime95 for stability testing but im unsure on how to use it correctley?

It's for I7 2600k

open prime

select blend test.

press ok

turn it off when you are finished.

I've only been doing small FTTs (or whatever the top option is); any reason why blend is better? On my current OC I can run small FTT for 24+ hours stable, would running blend show up any problems small FTT wouldn't?

As I understand it, small FTT's strees the CPU, Blend stresses CPU and RAM and the communication path between. If it passes small FTT's and fails on blend I am led to believe that it is a RAM problem ie, timings are too tight, not enough RAM volts etc.

Like I say, thats how I understand it from what I have read.
