I've got past exam papers from the aqa website that I want to do as revision, but I don't want to have to print off 200+ pages of exam papers. How can I write on these? Is says filling of form fields is disabled. Do I need to break the protection on the document to write on it?

You could either, as suggested, convert the pdf into a word document with certain software eg solid converter pdf or use adobe acrobat professional but that is the more costly approach.
If the pdf is protected, there are ways to get round this....so i'm told! ;)

Pdf files are normally protected. However do a quick google and there are certain free programs that will unlock it for you !!!
First you need to convert it to Word or something else then unlock it!

Might be a long shot and possibly NOT what you are after but there is a software program that comes with the Wacom Graphics Tablets which allows you to write over an existing document with manuscript, as you would do when you proof read a document.

eg, someone emails you a draft letter, you write over parts of the document you want amending (in red ink if necessary) etc and return it to the typist, originator etc.

The Program is called Pen Plus. I've not found a use for it myself.
