How Tough Are iPhones?

I just droped my iPhone on my wooden flooring:( Thankfully it is undamaged. It's made me wonder just how much damage can an iphone take? The best part is my iphone is always in a protective cover and screen protector I only took it out of the cover to sync it:o
 
Very tough. I watch a vid on youtube of them testing it, keying the screen, dropping it from hip height lots of times etc. Only the chrome backing/metal scratched, the screen looked untouched.
 
dropped mine today :(

only the back and top were damaged, did have to switch it on and off though as it was acting a bit funny

That's rough mate :( I think I've been lucky this time round. It doesn't half make your heart skip a beat when it drops and lands on the floor.

That iPhone blender video is insane!:eek:

The screen seems indestructible whereas the rear of it damages quite easily. Dropped my 16gb onto the pavement (not from a high height) and it's scratched all four corners as it came to rest.
 
lol the screen is far from indestructable. I had my first one fall flat on its face and it cracked the entire screen. On Saturday night I saw someone with one whos also had a cracked screen.


Tuff yes, once damaged = crying begins. Keep it in a rubber case!

Too true, it landed screen side down but that side came out unscathed. Seems to look okay today though.
 
Dropped mine the second day i had it

fell out of my hand, and went to break its fall before it hit the floor but ended up accidentally drop kicking it down the corridor lol - still picked it up and it was undamaged

all i could think about whe it was falling was hearing the guy in the 02 store saying "do you want to take insurance out on this" and me replying "no its ok im going to be careful with it* lol!!

nice to hear they are tough though!!
 
i dropped mine into a puddle, earphone socket stopped working and the on/off button did too. Plugged it in a charged it over night and it was back to normal the next day. :)
 
I put mine in my fleece pocket once, and it took a dive towards the driveway as I got out of the car.

Slid aaaaaaaaaall the way down the drive and scratched the top corner, I sold that on eBay because it depressed me :o
