Going by the email was your delivery early, late or on schedule?

I really need mine by the 17th and they are saying shipping the 10th arriving the 19th.

I am thinking about cancelling it and buying elsewhere.

Edit: Buying from Apple direct.

I think it was about 2.5weeks, and it came from China, dispite the guy on the phone saying it would take only several days as it would be coming from the Netherlands (i think).

If the apple.com tracker says its going via Kuehne+Nagel then you can track the acctual location of your order here:

http://www.apecode.com/appletrack/

and then via TNT when it gets to the Netherlands. The information is a bit confusing, but i hope that helps more than the very basic apple one.

Hello!

I wouldn't expect fast delivery, my macbook now says "Delayed in transit" and the delivery time looks to be about2.5 to 3weeks. It is appaling really!

I also tried buying elsewhere but nowhere in my area at all has any! And lead times were 30days!!!

I don't know what they are playing at!

My Macbook seems to be taking forever :( I bought it on the finance option and got the paperwork through the post today and there gonna start taking payments for it soon

I'm seriously considering canceling and waiting for the new version and Leopard etc. How easy would it be to cancel the Macbook and the credit agreement anybody know?

Sorry I'm not sure Pumaz.

Well, I logged in to check my order status today and it says:

In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule

The carrier is TNT and estimated delivery is now the 14th - that would be awesome! :D I won't hold my breath though.

By the way, I had cancelled the order of a case as I was worried that this might hold it up.

Edit: I just received the dispatched email and it says estimated delivery is the 17th. Good system!

pumaz: canceling finance can take them some time! I have doen it with other companies and they tell you its canceled there and then but it takes longer to actually cancel it.

I wouldn't pay much attention to their tracking! I've been tracking mine and its ment to be delayed in transit and my delivery date was pushed back to the 12th but I just got in and theres a "we tried to deliver" note from tnt through the door!!

Crazy!

Lucky folks like myself live near to an Apple Store, so delivery time is in the minutes rather than weeks :p

Enjoy your new mac.

living in manchester gives you access to three within an hours distance - manchester city center, the trafford center and sheffield meadowhall (an hour on the train from piccadilly).

which is nice. and so off kilter with the rest of the country!

Is this true? Moving to Manchester tomorrow, you recommend buying from the shop or online?

Congratulations! Is this your first time on Mac OS X?

It is indeed. I think it will take a bit of getting used to. Is Safari any good or should I get Firefox? What about the email software?

Got my Macbook today :D glad i didn't cancel it's beautiful!

It took about 3 weeks to get here but worth it in the end, even the box etc. is pure quality...

Just installing Windows XP now!
